From Thermal Tissue Coagulation to Three Modes of Non-Thermal Focused Stimulation
For those 40–70, appearance isn't defined by skin alone. It may be influenced by firmness supported by fascia, often 4.5–10 mm beneath the skin — at sensitive areas around the eyes, jawline, neckline, and shoulders.
Reaching it consistently, every day, at home requires continuous, optimal-pressure, precisely sequenced multi-focus stimulation — not more intensity.
Fascia's role in visible firmness was only recently recognized — and focused ultrasound is an energy modality capable of reaching it directly.
Moving from clinic to home changes who manages consistency of use — requiring stable output, multi-depth adaptability, reproducible feedback, and coverage of sensitive areas all at once.
High-voltage transducers trade continuous output for heat. MUTi's low-voltage pMUT architecture removes that trade-off by design, not by turning power down.
Our own trials revealed a trade-off between larger cohorts and deeper multi-instrument measurement. MUTi built a repeated, multi-instrument, multi-round program — Round 1 and Round 2 — to strengthen reproducibility across both dimensions.
Rules were built for a clinic-or-cosmetic binary that predates precision instruments used daily at home. MUTi is engineered within today's cosmetic-device framework, designed for consistent, everyday home use.
